Ismail Cem Akar was born in 1965 in İstanbul. He graduated from Yildiz Technical University, Faculty of Science, Physics Department. He started his career in 1991 in Çamlıca Meşrubat San. A.Ş. as the director of Sales Development Department.
Ismail Cem Akar started to work for Pınar Entegre Et ve Yem San. A.Ş in 1993 and worked in a variety of positions. He worked as the Marmara Region Sales Manager from 2001 to 2003. From May 2003 to May 2004, he worked for Yaşar Birleşik Pazarlama A.Ş. as the manager of the İstanbul-Europe Region. He joined Esas Holding and established Gıdaser Gıda Dağıtım San. ve Tic. A.Ş. in July 2005. He is the General Manager of Gıdaser Gıda Dağıtım San. ve Tic. A.Ş
Ismail Cem Akar is married and has two children.
