Osman Ünsal was born in Mersin in 1954. After graduating from Robert Academy, he entered Bogazici University where he earned a BA from the School of Business Administration, after which Mr. Ünsal received his master's degree from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Ünsal has held several positions at Citibank Turkey, where he last served as Vice President. He worked at a variety of posts at Interbank, Etibank and the State Planning Department Foreign Investment Service, and was acting Undersecretary of Treasury and Foreign Trade. After resigning from his duty as Chairman of Turkish Eximbank, Mr. Unsal joined Sabanci Holding's companies Pilsa and Dupontsa as coordinator and CFO. Osman Unsal was Chairman at Sasa and held board member positions at several of the groups' European companies. In 2000 he graduated from London School of Economics in corporate finance and in 2005 from Oxford University's AMP programs.

Mr. Ünsal is fluent in English. He is married and has two children.
